Where to buy a property in Costa Blanca.
Are you thinking of buying a property in Spain? Read here our recommendations on where to buy a property in Costa Blanca.
The Costa Blanca is generally divided into the North Costa Blanca and the South Costa Blanca. Alicante as a town fixates the border-line between both areas. The most important aspect and the one which surprises visitors the most is the landscape difference in both areas.
Costa Blanca South is predominantly arid, with sandy soil, as you drive through the location this becomes apparent. It is also a flatter area with little mountaneous areas. The Costa Blanca North is an area predominantly mountaneous with fabulous sea-views from numerous areas and with a predominantly green areas. This does not mean it rains more in one area to the other, as when we look at the average rain fall throughout the year they are very similar. It simply means that the Costa Blanca North has its own weather pattern which acts as a bubble and keeps the winters mild and the summers at bearable temperatures of 38 degrees (July to September).
It very much depends on the climate and greenery or arid scenery a person wishes to have as to the best location to purchase. The prices are also very different in properties. The South is predominantly cheaper than the Northern Costa Blanca.
We have three recommendations if you are thinking to buy a property in Costa Blanca:
- Denia
- Moraira
- Javea
