New building permits

New Valencia president Carlos Mazón has revealed that he will change the law to make it easier to build properties in the region.

The announcement on Tuesday comes after recent figures showed that more new homes were started in the second quarter of 2023 in Alicante province (3,001) than in any other three-month period for 15 years.

Sr Mazón stated that the aim of his coalition government is to make it easier for construction companies to obtain building licenses for their projects.

Inheritance Taxes

New Valencia president Carlos Mazón has set the wheels in motion to effectively abolish the tax on inheritances and donations.

The first session of the new regional parliament authorized the treasury, economy, and public administration department to start drawing up a draft modification to the 1997 law which regulates the regional part of taxes.

This will enable a reduction of up to 99% to be applied to the tax on inheritances and donations, announced Sr Mazón
